I Greet you all through the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. I bring warm Greetings from Africa, Uganda in particular, From the villages that I have been, especially the Inmates from the various Prisons where I’ve been preaching, I have shared with them how you are able to send me and make it possible for the good news to reach to the farthest unreachable people in Uganda. I have shared my salvation story, stories of the places I’ve been, How Jesus found me, How he transformed me, how I’m living for him and serving with my entire household, and how I’m blessed by a wonderful family at pleasant Grove that prays for me all the time. In all these places, we prayed to all those that support my missionary efforts, and I’d like to let you know that we prayed for you. Greetings from Anita and Arthur.
A few weeks ago I was led to reach out to village prisons, and I have successfully reached out to 5 of them. I had a great wonderful time with the prison ministry, I was able to show the Jesus film, pray for the inmates, some of which shared with me their personal stories, it was so humbling to get to know them, listening to sad stories, but I’m grateful to God that I was able to minister to them. Surprisingly for each prison I visited, the souls were ready for the word, there was huge hunger for the word, they all surrendered to the Lord. They lifted their hands in faith and received Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour. Oh what a moment! The spirit of God was at work, as they sitter outside in the scotching sun, which wasn’t of any hindrance to them. They listened together with their prison wardens. So I’ve been preaching early morning and then head to the door to door outreach evangelism then return to the prison later in the evening at the halls to show the Jesus movie. You can’t believe how they showed their happiness at my return with my back pack. You can’t believe that I had asked each prisoner who had accepted Christ to write their names, unfortunately we ran out of paper! We couldn’t find enough to write but the recorded number for each prison went beyond 100. I was restricted to take pictures because it’s not allowed, but having insisted in the last two Prisons I was able to take a few pictures which I’ll share, In total over 350 prisoners have their lives to Jesus. These numbers exclude prison wardens who also asked me to pray with them and some received Christ. One of the prisoner asked me to visit a lady in their villages, he told me about her story and gladly I walked couple of miles to reach her, but before I share her story, I was very privileged to be allowed into these prisons because in order to have access, you truly need to be a Christian, there are couple of questions asked, in the past years people who pretended to be evangelist came and later it was found they were journalists and others had other motives and deferred from being evangelists so it made it hard for true evangelists to have access. However, the prison life Changed for these men and women that wore the yellow prison uniform. We praised God, we prayed, I prayed for children that were born in the cells, these children have a different housing unit but still under the prison walls. And while with them, the Lord spoke to me about blessing them in Christmas. ( I’d like to give toys, shoes, clothes to them) they do not shop, they have never seen anything outside the prison walls. These kids are from the ages of one month to teenage years. I pray this Christmas they’ll be blessed. One of the heart breaking moments for each prison I visited was the Great need for the Bible’s, they kept as,I got for them. From prison wardens to the inmates. It’s my desire and wish that the Lord increase provision but Bibles are greatly needed.
The lady whom I visited shared with me a dream she had received many years ago about a young man who had been lost and needed to find a way, in the picture she recalled the man looked like me, so when I arrived I was terrified when she said “son you are finally here” I was very shocked,! She has no family all passed away, she lives alone in a mud house, I spent two nights there. We Had a great time I prayed for her, she accepted Christ. What an experience.
I will personally share that the challenging moments I’ve experienced is that I have observed the more, I keep sharing the Gospel, in different places, I have discovered the more great need for bibles. It’s so heart breaking to be asked bibles and you have none, on this same note, I take this moment to thank all those that have contributed to the Bible fund over the years. Thank you so much, you have touched and changed lives of many people by your continuous gift to purchase a case of bibles. Thank you! I’m also excited that the missionary efforts done by PHH are being recognized, No one is doing Ministry the way we do, no one has gone to places like we do, they fear to be in such places, some who claim to be missionaries and evangelists love to do Ministry in urban areas. Some places where I’ve been doing door to door Village outreach have heard about me and I’ve met two people who called out to me and asked if “I’m the Jesus movie man”. I stopped and asked why and they shared a story about the man who preaches with a bag of movies...(I laughed because I found it funny) but each village that iam able to minister to is far away from the other, and the question is how does this news spread so fast, the answer is we are doing this with passion, honesty, but above all I believe all they see is a Christlike ministry. This is why we stand out among the many. Although this has not settled well with many who aren’t doing Ministry our way but I pray that they’ll be motivated to do Ministry wholeheartedly. I have received many calls across asking for Jesus film, this alone means I can spend months and months without returning home, showing movies on a weekly basis from different villages. In conclusion we had more than 380 souls won for Christ in the mission in both the prison Ministry and the door to door Evangelistic outreach.
PHH-UGANDA sponsored Children
A special thank you for our new sponsors that have taken to school our newly sponsored children. The excitement our children had to get the rare opportunity to be in school I could hear them on phone. Thank you so much for giving these children a future. So far our sponsored children are performing well in school, these are the reports I receive from their various school head teachers. They are unique, smart and show the ability to be better in the future. Thank you so much for your continued support.
PHH-CHURCHES
Over the years God has graced us to plant churches, not openly planting them but also help build them through providing the shelter, as I speak many churches have been planted in various villages and towns, we are grateful. The pictures show how we have been able to help these churches with iron sheets. I would wish to extend my gratitude to those that have contributed in building these churches. However, there are more at the moment that need roofing. We pray that provision will come and they’ll be able to roof .
As I conclude, I wish to thank you so much for your continued support towards the missionary and evangelistic efforts in Uganda. Your prayers, financial support have greatly helped. Thank you Dr Steve and mama Vi, The PHH-UGANDA President, Mrs Terry Govoni, Pastor Bob Govoni and the wonderful family at Pleasant Grove, Mrs Nancy and Jim Arenberg. The Jesus film. I can’t mention it all. May the Lord Bless you so much. Thank you again.
